The auction opened with Auctions America handling the memorabilia lots in the style of a tobacco auction with rapid-fire bid calling. This enabled them to power through more than 60 lots in 90 minutes. Auctions America’s chief auctioneer Mike Shackelton set a somewhat more measured pace for the automobile sale, with David Swig assisting announcing and describing the lots.

Terms: Buyer’s premium for cars was 10% on top of the final bid.

Lot 153 – 1976 Porsche Typ 911S Targa – Estimate: $55,000-65,000 – Did not sell at $42,500.
Lot 166 – 1991 Porsche Typ 964 Carrera 2 Targa by RWB – Estimate: $95,000-105,000 – Did not sell at $67,500.
