The auction was conducted in English (mostly,) and French with occasional quick forays into Italian, German, and other languages. On the day of the auction, the exchange rate was €1.00 = $1.06.8. We covered the auction by R. M. Sotheby’s live feed and www.Hammer Price.com. Prices listed here do not include the 12% buyer’s fee plus 20% Value Added Tax in France.  Phone bidders made up a substantial percentage of successful sales. Auctioneers dispatched 77 lots in just three hours 30 minutes. For those bidders and sellers who booked dinner tables for 10 p.m., they made it!

  • Lot 121 – 1955 Porsche Typ 356 Pre-A 1600 Speedster – Without reserve – Estimate: €300,000-400,000Sold for €330,000 ($352,440) to a phone bidder.
