1959 Porsche Carrera GT Speedster – The Last Speedster Made

The Speedster helped forge Porsche’s long, successful racing history, and today these are among the most sought after cars in the collector car world. Rarely does a car of this significance become available. This Speedster is one of only 31 built in 1959 and has the distinction of being the last car down the production line before they turned out the lights on Speedster manufacture. This Carrera GT Speedster is distinguished further by being one of only seven equipped with the Type 692/3 engine (1600cc plain bearing motor) and a 12-volt electrical system. It was delivered new in Canada; the restoration was completed more than 25 years ago and it has been enjoyed sparingly ever since. Price reflects historical significance.
