Details and Story:

Following the success of the 1973 911 RS Carrera 2.7 coupe, the Porsche added a Targa to the Carrera line for 1974. To meet U.S. emission standards, Weissach engineers dropped the mechanical fuel injection system and installed Bosch’s new CIS or continuous injection system (often referred to as K-Jetronic or Kontinuierlich). Porsche assembled only 610 Carrera Targas for the entire world in 1974 and 1975, and this one is simply the best original we have seen. Jeff Smith has inspected garage-kept example and he, too, confirms its amazing original condition. The car literally runs and drives exactly the way it did when it was new. The condition can only be described as “Showroom” and it has little wear and tear. The Sahara Beige original paint is amazing, making even its few 22,000 miles hard to detect. The interior is as good as the exterior and the black basket weave also shows very little wear. If you are like we are about 911 Porsches, this is your shot at the best original out there.
