2007 PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS – ONLY 530 MILES! – Sold
DETAILS AND STORY
Every once in a while you buy a car that for some reason you think is special. In November of 2007 we bought this “Orange” 911 GT3 RS with 28 miles on it, and we hid it away in our collection. Porsche had introduced the Typ 997 GT3 RS in the fall of 2006, using a body and rear track that were 44 millimeters (1.7 inches) wider than the series production GT3. With its adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing, its plastic rear window, and its lightweight bucket seats, the RS came in 44 pounds lighter than the regular GT3 as well! With 415 horsepower from its 3.6-liter normally aspirated flat six, in a car weighing only 3,032 pounds, it is plenty quick.
Once every 6 months or so we took it out for a cruise to keep the fluids flowing. But we never cruised very far. Over the last eight and a half years we have put only another 508 miles on it. That makes a grand total of 535 miles.
This was the car to keep, as it’s one of the best-optioned RS’s we had seen in 2007. The interior options include Sport Chrono and full leather, along with a long list of Porsche Exclusiv options for painted accents and orange stitching. The exterior features Bi-Xenon headlamps and a few more Exclusiv options such as both the spoiler lip and headlight washers painted exterior color.
You have got to see this. And you have got to drive this. This is undoubtedly one of the finest GT3 RS offered anywhere, and it is perfect!
