Road Scholars was thrilled to be one of Jeff Zwart’s sponsors at the 93rd Annual Pikes Peak Hill Climb, and is proud to share this incredible video of his 1st place-in-class run at the event on Sunday, June 28th.

This year marked the 93nd Annual Pikes Peak Hill Climb in Colorado Springs, which is the second oldest motor sports race in America. It’s a 12.42 mile course with 156 turns and an elevation increase of 4,725 feet. The grueling course elevations dilute reflexes and even steal 30% of the car’s engine power by the time drivers reach the top. Check out the July 2015 issue of Road Scholars Magazine to read Sean Cridland’s account of the 2015 Climb to the Clouds.

Zwart averaged 73.69 mph and completed the course in 9:46.243 (a personal best), coming in 1st in his class (Time Attack 1), and 4th in overall placement, driving the #111 car, a 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Turbo Hill Climb Special. See full results listing here.
