The 2018 GT3, so we’re told, will be the last with a naturally aspirated engine. And what an engine: developed from Porsche’s 911 Carrera Cup race cars, it screams to 9,000rpm, and is undoubtedly the most exciting flat-six ever to grace Porsche’s 911 GT series. (Hell, even the new GT2 RS maxes out at 7,200rpm, its engine based on that of a plain old 991 Turbo.)
