2012 Jaguar XKR S
Story and History
One of our clients bought this XKR S on a whim, and we’re glad he did. He bought it from its original owner in love with the rare French Racing Blue. He drove a couple of thousand miles and said that’s enough…time to let someone else experience this untamed beast.
Debuting at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011 the XKR S introduced Jaguar’s most extreme beautiful fast model to date. Jag’s finest bringing intellectual performance into everyday drivability. The performance exhaust very appealing aurally as one races from 0-60 in just over 4 seconds with a top speed of nearly 190 mph. Exploiting a new style creating more aerodynamic stability with less lift in the aluminum body lightweight. Accomplishing all the performance while emitting the least amount of carbon dioxide than any other car in its class. Very impressive indeed.
Folks, these Jaguars are awesome. It’s one thing to sit and regurgitate specifications or look things up online dreaming, versus the actual experience behind the wheel of an XKR S. If you’ve driven one, you got it. If you drive one, you’ll want it.
We can’t put it any more clear than Design Director of Jaguar Cars, Ian Callum:
“The styling of this car isn’t about image, it’s about true performance. Like other iconic Jaguar cars before it, the styling has been driven by geometry and aerodynamics for genuine design purity. The physics required to achieve 300km/h have led the aesthetic; if you don’t like the way it looks, you probably won’t like the way it drives either”
