Rarely do we carry anything that has been modified; this 1981 is one of the few exceptions. Jim Newton at Automobile Associates of Canton (Connecticut) has a well-deserved reputation for top quality work in the Porsche world. Jim’s shop did this car one quality step at a time. In 2013, they did $16,000 work to rebuild the 3.0-liter SC engine to 3.2 liter specs. They completely repainted the car in its original color, and it is excellent. The last item they attended to before it came south was the air conditioner upgrade, and that is the only way to make an air-cooled 1980s 911 blow cold! The roll bar and seats (factory seats come with the car) were done there in Connecticut as well. This car is well sorted, done, and needs nothing. We just finished going over the car and servicing it, and now It won’t need anything for years to come!
