Road Scholars at Monterey Car Week

We are excited to be participating in a number of events during the Monterey Car Week and look forward to seeing many old friends and hope to make new ones! Please be sure to stop by and visit with us at the following events:

Quail Motorsports Gathering

Date: Friday, August 18, 2017
Location: Quail Lodge & Golf Club, Carmel, California

Showing: 1975 Porsche 911 Turbo

Only 274 turbos were hand built during the first year of production in 1975. Originally built to satisfy homologation FIA rules for Group 4 & 5, the 930 became a sales success during the 1970’s oil crisis, and become known as the first practical super car. Chassis #0274 is a rare right hand drive example that was delivered from the factory painted in the very unique color of Salmon Metallic. It also features some rare options, such as 911 hood safety stripes, Porsche side scripts on lower rocker panels, and a full white leather interior.

Porsche Club of America Werks Reunion

Date: Friday, August 18, 2017
Location: Corral De Tierra Country Club

Showing: 2008 Cayman GTR

We are very excited to be showing our first custom build at the Werks Reunion. This project was completely out of the norm for us, as we are renowned for our authentic restoration work. We decided to break up the monotony of the vintage restoration work in the shop and took on this project. It was a gratifying experience to produce a custom performance-oriented Cayman, built to concours standards, and we have received overwhelming positive feedback from reputable sources. Please stop by to see it in person and meet some of our restoration team who built it.

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

Date: Sunday, August 20, 2017
Location: The Lodge at Pebble Beach

Showing: 1952 Porsche 356 Reutter Cabriolet

We restored this special two owner Pre-A 356 Cabriolet for the Ingram Collection. Only 294 Cabriolets were built for the world in 1952, with only 4 being delivered to North America through Max Hoffman. This cabriolet was a two-owner example with just 30,000 miles when it was delivered to our restoration shop. The second owner kept it for 45 years and had the car repainted silver because the original Fashion Gray paint had finally failed. What is remarkable about this restoration, is the fact that every part on the car is original and we did not have to perform any metal repair work to the body or chassis (a first for us). 1952 was an interim year of early 356 production and there are a lot specific trim items featured only on this model. We look forward to being back on the lawn on Pebble with this stunning cabriolet for the Ingram Collection. Please come say hi to us and see a bunch of restoration guys in suits!
