Celebrating their 11th anniversary, the Kirkland Concours d’Elegance was held at the beautiful new LeMay – America’s Car Museum (ACM) in Tacoma, Washington on Sunday, September 8, 2013. In the shadow of Mt. Rainier, just 30 minutes south of Seattle, the LeMay continues to be one of the world’s largest auto museums and attractions since its opening in June 2012.
This esteemed competition, judged by national and international experts, was stacked with special 911s in honor of the 50th anniversary of the model.
Kevin Watts of Road Scholars had the pleasure of showing our client’s exceptional 1988 Porsche 959. When produced, this was the last 959 to roll off the assembly line, 1 of 2 in Basalt Black with black interior. Kevin Watts found this car with just 500 kilometers – totally intact with its Cosmoline – and never been driven! It took a year and a half of service and cleaning to get it Concours ready; however, much to everyone’s delight, our work paid off. Road Scholars proudly took home a First in Class award for our client.
