(SOLD) Originally aimed at the American sports car market, the Porsche Speedster 356 A is one of the most coveted Porsches for collectors looking for a well-rounded, classic vintage sports car.

This beautiful Speedster left the factory in Meissen Blue and Red with a 1600 normal and retains its original color combination. The gentleman we bought it from pulled it out of a barn in the early 1990’s and restored it with the focus on performance. He built a 100+ HP motor with extended oil sump instead of the original 60hp normal motor. The engine is backed up with a “Sebring” style exhaust which also has an awesome sound.
The suspension on this T2 Speedster is very trick as well. The front sway bar combined with the adjustable spring plates and compensator bar on the rear end of the Speedster encourage spirited driving. The addition of 911 disc brakes and a set of custom made “alloy” Rudge style wheels finish off an impressive package. We have pictures of the car throughout the restoration in bare metal and all the panels match the VIN. Speedster prices are accelerating with a drivable restoration project being around 150K, drivers over 240K and full concourse restored 58’s on the edge of 400K.

The right collector will delight in this car’s legendary heritage, while blasting down the back roads or cruising safely on the highway.
