One of the cleanest original time capsules you will ever see of the famed rotary legend. In popular Stardust over Black, what an example and our kind of car!
Built in November of 1979 this an early example of the growing in popularity RX-7 Mazda produced across three generations. A rear-wheel-drive front engine sports car powered by its lightweight Wankel rotary engine. Producing over 100 bhp and ft-lbs of torque weighing in at the curb under 2,500 lbs. Culminating in a compact, low center of gravity, well balanced, fun-to-drive two-seater.
Chassis 589516 was kept by a Mazda Buick dealer from new. It remained in their showroom and sparingly used until 1991 ending up with Exotic Classics in Manhattan and ultimately with one of our greatest friends. Still in all of its original glory chassis 589516 is accompanied by the original manual and books, and other original documentation.
