2012 911 Turbo S 918 Spyder Edition

While the nine hundred eighteen individuals who were lucky enough to place an order for their 918 Spyder waited for their new hypercar to be delivered, Porsche created this special edition 911 and offered it only to those future 918 owners to tide them over while their cars were being painstakingly assembled in Germany. It was mechanically identical to the impressive 997.2 911 Turbo S, which delivered 530 hp between 6250 and 6750 rpm and 516 pound-feet of torque between 2,100 and 4,250 rpm with incredible road holding capabilities. The interior received a special leather selection from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and was finished with a plethora of Acid Green accents throughout the interior, including Acid Green piping and embroidery on the front and rear seats, and in the stitching throughout the full leather interior.  A badge on the glove box denotes the chassis number of the owner’s corresponding 918.  The Acid Green details continued to the exterior, most notably the PCCB brake calipers finished in Acid Green- a caliper color typically only reserved for Porsche’s hybrid lineup.

Few examples of the Turbo S 918 Spyder Edition are offered on the market as few 918 owners selected the option, making them rarer than the actual 918 Spyders and more exclusive than the 1,267 N.A-Market 997.2 Turbo S Coupes Produced From From 2011-2013. According to Adrian Streather’s “Porsche 997: The Essential Companion”, only 121 examples were built worldwide- 78 Coupes and 43 Cabriolets.

We’ve known this 918 Turbo S from new as it comes from one of our greatest friends and clients, and is once again available to a new caretaker. With just 1,275 miles on the odometer, it presents in like-new condition and is likely one of the lowest mileage examples available.

The 997.2 Turbo S has become one of the most desirable modern 911 models due to being the last of the smaller 911s and boasting an incredible driving experience through its immense power and chassis dynamics. Add in the limited production and exclusivity, and the 911 Turbo S 918 Spyder Edition has all the collectible Porsche criteria to become a modern classic.
