At the tail end of the 2015 model year, Porsche assembled a special run of paint-to-sample GT3s and quietly released them it select dealers. This car is one of only 10 manufactured, in the 1970s color Signal Green. The GT3’s 3.8-liter normally aspirated dry-sump engine develops 475 horsepower and it is perfectly matched to the specially-tuned version of the PDK transmission that GT car chief Andreas Preuninger specified for these cars, knowing they shifted gears faster than any human could do. As Preuninger explained in an interview in a recent issue of Porsche PANORAMA magazine, these cars spend much of their lives on track where being fastest is most important. The PDK accomplishes that. This car has just 200 miles from new, and the remainder of its factory four-year-or-50,000-mile warranty applies.
