Happy New Year! We hope you all enjoyed happy holidays.
We start out 2019 as we have each of our four years so far, with a couple interesting stories and with auction information.
We open the issue with Randy Wells taking us “Back to the Flats,” as in Boneville, to revisit his friend and Turbo racer and to take another look at the salt.
From there we follow Wells on another adventure, this time to the foothills above Los Angeles to meet another of his friends and see his startlingly faithful tribute to one of Porsche’s race cars.
Then, because t’is the season to auction, we’ll introduce you to the 66 Porsches (as of this writing) that Bonhams, Gooding & Company, and RM Sotheby’s have to offer in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona in the middle of this month.
And we’ll finish up our issue with the results of RM Sotheby’s auction at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles in December.
Then in February we’ll bring you Arizona results and what we can of previews for the Amelia Island sales in early March.
