Bonhams offered a good eclectic mix of vehicles during its one-day sale near the Quail Lodge and Golf Club. Bids came mostly from buyers in the room, with some phone and internet offers. One of its most startling vehicles was a 1955 Lamborghini DL25 tractor. Interest among three bidders in the room took this early 25-horsepower Lamborghini beyond its no-reserve high estimate of $60,000 up to a final hammer sale of $100,000. Best guess? It supplements a collection of 400GT, P400 Miura, Countach, Diablo, and later exotics. Or John Deeres, Farmalls, and Porsches.

Mecum auctions announced they had achieved $50,000,000 in sales from their three days of 2016 Monterey auctions in which they offered 704 automobiles, including dozens and dozens of Porsches. This result exceeded their 2015 results by more than $5,000,000. Crowds were especially strong during bidding for their three most valuable lots on Saturday, a 2014 Ferrari La Ferrari, a 1966 Ford GT40 Mk1, and a 2003 Ferrari Enzo. His Saturday auction catered to a Monterey sports cars crowd, offering twice as many Ferraris as Corvettes and muscle cars, and twice as many Porsches as Ferrari. Results are below.
