Road Scholars – A Year In Review 2018
As 2018 comes to a close, its easy for us to feel a bit nostalgic when reflecting on all of the events, moments and memories that took place this year. From restoring the America Roadster in 8 months to watching the last 550 Spyder’s new owner take his first drive and everything in between. Here are our top 10 moments from this year.

BLOOMBERG ARTICLE ON ROAD SCHOLARS :
We had the pleasure of having the talented writer Hannah Elliot follow us around the shop for a few days taking notes and asking questions. A few weeks later the article she had written was published in Bloomberg. We are very honored to be mentioned in one of the best business platforms out.
RS PRIVATE RESERVE EVENT :
A new event we started hosting in 2018 is the RS Private Reserve Event. It is hosted every couple of months for our closest clients, friends and family. It has proven to be a great way to get like-minded enthusiasts together to share thoughts about the collector car market.
4CAM JAM AT VIR :
Earlier this year we planned an event we called the “4Cam Jam” that was intended to be a day full of driving the best 4 Cam cars that ranged from a 356 Carrera GT to a 550 Spyder’s. Unfortunately, due to unexpected weather the 4 Cams stayed in Durham but we finally had the chance to get the Cayman GTR on the track. Needless to say it was a great day with a great crew. We intend to plan another 4Cam Jam for 2019.
1952 AMERICA ROADSTER TYPE 540 RESTORATION :
Most of our restorations take 2+ years to complete. We completed this restoration in a record time of 8 months beginning in January. None of this would of been possible without our dedicated team. It was a true honor to see this build come alive on the lawn at the “Big Show”
Wishing everyone a happy new year!
Looking forward to 2019.
