Perhaps one of the most famous movie cars of all time, the 964 911 Turbo 3.6 was catapulted into the spotlight at the opening scene of the cult-classic Bad Boys film.

The film was Michael Bay’s directorial debut. As it turns out, he is a car guy who has used vehicles from his personal collection in his films. The famed “Bad Boys” 911 Turbo 3.6 was indeed one of his own. As he recounts in a 2014 interview with Car and Driver magazine: “The studio didn’t want to rent a car and we didn’t have the money to rent one. And Porsche didn’t want to support the movie”.

The 964 Turbo 3.6 is one of only 1,427 produced and is the last rear-wheel-drive Turbo produced before Porsche deemed all-wheel-drive was a necessity on Turbo models. It’s since become one of the most desirable 911 Turbo models ever produced.

We had the honor of disassembling the actual Bad Boys 964 Turbo 3.6 for a scrupulous show detail as its current owner plans to share it with the public at shows throughout 2021.
